McKayla Donat

My name is McKayla and I am planning to study History and Creative Writing with a minor in Law and Society. Alongside WPLSA, I am a member of GW Phi Alpha Theta, DCTAL, and Club Swim. I love WPLSA because of all the amazing women who are a part of the club, and the mix of preparatory and fun opportunities and events through the club!

Gianna Jakubowski

Hi! My name is Gianna Jakubowski, and I'm double majoring in journalism & mass communication and political science with a public policy focus on a pre-law track. I am currently a reporter for The Hatchet, a GW-TV member and West Hall's Programming Chair. I also have a job at The National Association for Law Placement as a project assistant! I'm interested in the field of law because I want to found a non-profit organization that provides domestically abused women free legal resources.

Keira Khami

I’m Keira Khami, majoring in Criminal Justice with minors in Public Policy and Human Services & Social Justice. Outside of classes, I’m involved with the Women’s Pre-Law Student Association, The Public Policy Society (KOA), and I play club tennis. I’m super passionate about family violence law and child advocacy because I really want to make a difference in protecting kids. Honestly, my favorite part of WPLSA is the amazing community and all the inspiring women I get to meet — you all make this journey so much more fun and motivating!

Srija Kasturi

My name is Srija Kasturi, and I’m majoring in Political Science. I'm involved with WPLSA, ISA, and I write for Synergy, a sustainability journal. I’m especially interested in financial and environmental law, where I get to explore how economics and legal policies can support a more sustainable future.

Kelsey Welby

My name is Kelsey Welby, and I am (transferring to be) a business major with a concentration in sports management, and a minor in communication.  Along with WPLSA, I am a part of the Sports Business Association, Program Board Street Team, and University Honors Program.  A few years ago, I had decided that I wanted to work in the music industry, but I didn’t know what I wanted to do until I stumbled upon intellectual property.  Now, I know I want to pursue intellectual property law, either in the music industry or the sports industry.

Faith Haemmerle

My name is Faith Haemmerle, and I am a current Junior at GW majoring in English with a minor in Law and Society. I am an editor for the WPLSA Newsletter Cabinet and a Zine Editor for Capitol Letters. I also work part-time at the Military and Veteran Affairs office on campus. I am interested in pursuing law because I want to help protect the rights and wellbeing of children within the field of Family Law. My favorite part of WPLSA is the incredible community it has created of women who are dedicated to helping one another achieve their goals and better society.

Crystal Jackson

My name is Crystal Jackson, and I am an Environmental Studies major with a minor in GIS.  I am involved in BSU and GW Eco-Reps, where I get to work on sustainability projects and meet people who are passionate about protecting the environment. I’m interested in international environmental law because it offers a way to address environmental issues on a global scale and to see how different countries approach environmental challenges. My favorite thing about being in WPLSA is definitely meeting other women who are just as excited about using law to make an impact!
